Funding

Overview of DCA-VET funding 2000 - 2010

Before 2004

To implement her projects, DCA-VET depends on donor funding. For many years DCA-VET received donations from the Dutch government, the United Nations, and the European Union. Also some smaller, but nevertheless important, Dutch donors as Novib and Stichting Vluchteling supported the projects financially.

After 2004

From 2004 onwards, DCA-VET's most comprehensive projects were financed by the American developing organization (USAID). Apart from that, DCA-VET receives funds from the Dutch government (Royal Netherlands Embassy), the World Bank and some smaller donors. In October 2009, the European Commission started funding a project in West Afghanistan, and only recently (June 2010) contracts have been signed with GTZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit GmbH) for the implementation of a comprehensive livestock production project in four provinces in North East Afghanistan, and at the same time a smaller poultry project in three of these provinces.
